Doctors & Medicine
My first port-of-call when I had these red spots was to treat is as spots and think with th abrasive scrubs and alcohol based products I used damaged the skin further. As there was no improvement I made an appointment to see the doctor who said that it could be Rosacea and provided me with a prescription for Metronidazole Gel and this didn’t seem to do anything only make my skin extremely dry. The doctor also made an appointment for me to see the dermatologist who confirmed that it was Rosacea and told me that I had been prescribed the best gel/cream for it and could take about 9 months….9 months, that’s like being pregnant again and I certainly couldn’t do that!! Three times is definitely enough!!

I got quite a bit of information from here http://www.rosacea.org/patients/index.php
I have researched on the web, on blogs on forums for other people’s experiences and some find that Metronidazole Gel and other prescribed medicines as successful in their plight to combat this skin condition. However, I couldn’t see why a topical gel should take 9 months, why could i not see results over a few months – I continued to use it but gave up and looked at natural ways to deal with this condition.
