Treatments & Methods
Right then, here it goes, this is what I have tried, some of which still persisting with.
Multivitamin – just to ensure that I’m not lacking in anything particular
Zinc & Copper - Zinc is an essential mineral that is a component of more than 300 enzymes believed to play an important role in normal wound healing. However, taking zinc alone can have an adverse effect so you better to take with copper too.
Lysine - L-Lysine is an essential amino acid which cannot be produced by the body and must be ingested in the diet. It assists in the formation of collagen and antibodies. It is also suggested that Lysine could inhibit the spread of infections such as cold sores, which is another reason why I take it to avoid the facial shingles again.
Burock Root – renound as a blood purifier and good for the skin in generl
Omega 3,6 & 9 – An essential fatty acid, good for cardiovascular system and healthy brain – also helps maintain healthy skin, hair and nails.
Milk Thistle – in liquid form taken twice a day in a small amount of water. It’s a good detoxification and liver cleanser.
Anti Hystamine – i’ve checked with the doctor to see if there is any long term effects of taking this on a daily basis and there are none.
Apple Cider Vinegar – Is thought to stimulate the release of digestive enzymes and help normalize the bacterial balance in the intestines. I have attempted to use it topically but concerned of the smell coming from me so have consumed it in water.
Topical – I have used Simple facial wash and moisturiser, Bio-oil and I am now currently using a carrot and vitamin E cream and have added drops of Chamomile, Lavender and Tea Tree Oil.
So far I have had 6 laser skin treatments and to tell you the truth I am unsure if this has made the condition worse or not. I had my first treatment around April and the treatments are approx 4 weeks apart. I never had the pustules on my left cheek but certainly have now. Thought at one point the skin had reduced in redness but I think this is also due to diet and the way I am feeling.
I’m beginning to think that the laser treatment is better for people who have the vascular which helps the blocked vessels disperse back into the skin. This is only my opinon – other thoughts is that my Rosacea (even though over a year in at the start of treatments) was not to its main stage.
At the end of the day this is still a chronic skin condition of extreme hypersensitivity that noone can determine the root cause of it. This is theory and pertaining to how I am and I am not stating that laser treatment may not be for you.
